Synomy Notes
2.6.0 beta Download

Locked before it leaves.

A page is sealed on your computer and opens only on your colleague's. Anyone in between sees noise, and there's no master key to hand over.

Meeting notes without a bot in the call.

Synomy listens on your own computer and types out every word, every voice told apart. The audio is never uploaded.

Wire it into your stack.

A local API and signed webhooks with a key per project, and your own AI through MCP. All of it runs on your machine.

Your knowledge base is a folder.

Every page is a plain Markdown file on your own disk, its full history beside it. Back it up, audit it, or walk away with it.

Your data is your edge.

Stop keeping it in someone else's datacenter.

Synomy has no servers, so there is nothing for us to sell, leak or hand over.

Before you roll it out.

Who can read what we share?

Only the people you shared it with. It is locked on your computer before it leaves, and only their computers can open it.

The technical bit

End-to-end encryption, the idea secure messengers use: X25519 to agree on a key, ChaCha20-Poly1305 to seal, Ed25519 signatures so nobody can pretend to be a colleague. There is no master key anywhere, so there is nothing for anyone to hand over.

What happens when a colleague is offline?

Your changes wait, sealed, and arrive when they're back. If you turn it on, a few other computers can hold those sealed changes in the meantime, so they arrive even when the two of you are never online at once. None of them can read what they hold.

Can we connect our own AI?

Yes, and only if you choose to. Typing out meetings and search run on your own computers. Anything that writes with an AI, like a summary, uses a service you connect with a key of your own, and your own tools reach a project through a local API with a key per project.

What does Synomy know about us?

A daily count: a random number made on each computer, the version, and which features were used. The totals are on the public numbers page. It never sees a name or a word you wrote, and Settings › Diagnostics switches it off.

What if Synomy disappears tomorrow?

Everything you have keeps working. Your pages are files any app can open, the app needs nobody's permission to run, and your own computers are the network. Only new versions would stop.

Try it with your team.

Ready in a minute. Start with one project and the colleagues you work with most.
